Ransomware recovery & rescue

Hit by ransomware? We help you contain the attack, recover your data without paying where possible, find out how attackers got in and what they took, and trace any ransom paid in cryptocurrency.

Emergency incident response

Fast triage to contain the attack, preserve volatile evidence and stop encryption from spreading to backups and other systems.

Ransomware forensics

We identify the ransomware strain, the initial access point, how long attackers were inside and what data was taken before encryption.

Data recovery without paying

We check for public decryptors, shadow copies, untouched backups and recoverable files so you can restore data without paying the ransom.

Ransom payment tracing

If a ransom was paid, we trace the cryptocurrency on the blockchain to exchanges, supporting law enforcement referrals and asset recovery.

Breach & insurance reports

Clear reports for cyber insurers, regulators and breach notification decisions: what happened, what was exposed and when.

Litigation-ready evidence

Evidence preserved with hashes and chain of custody, and expert witness testimony if the incident ends up in court.

What should I do first after a ransomware attack?

Disconnect affected machines from the network but do not power them off or wipe them, do not contact the attackers yourself, and call a forensic team. Turning machines off or reinstalling destroys evidence and may destroy recoverable data.

Can you recover ransomware-encrypted files without paying?

Often, yes. Free decryptors exist for many ransomware families, and files can frequently be restored from shadow copies, offline backups, cloud versions or unencrypted fragments. We assess every option before a ransom is ever considered.

Should we pay the ransom?

Paying does not guarantee you get your data back and may carry legal risk if the group is sanctioned (OFAC). The FBI advises against paying. We help you understand your recovery options so the decision is made with facts.

Can a ransom payment be traced?

Yes. Ransom payments in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are recorded on the blockchain. Crypto forensics can follow the funds to exchanges, which supports law enforcement seizures and civil recovery.

Will you work with our cyber insurer and lawyers?

Yes. We regularly produce reports for insurers, breach counsel and regulators, and we can work under attorney direction to help protect privilege.

How fast can you start?

Most ransomware engagements start remotely the same day with a scoping call and remote evidence collection.
